Scraping Plane, Veritas The Veritas scraping plane is the ideal tool for final smoothing — especially when you have to deal with highly figured wood or reversing grain. With a well-sharpened blade and light cuts you can achieve excellent results on any wood. Tear-out is virtually eliminated with the cutting action of the included scraping blade. The generous hardwood front knob and rear handle make it comfortable to use for extended periods and the large sole ensures an accurately flattened surface. The adjustable frog enables blade angles from 0° to 25°, providing fine control of the cutting action. A feature unique to our scraping plane is an integral thumbscrew that bows the blade to eliminate ridges in the work surface caused by blade corners. The plane comes with a 0.055\" high-carbon steel blade suited to this technique. The blade is 2 7/8\" wide and hardened to Rc48-51, and comes with the cutting edge ground at 45°. The 9 1/2\" ductile cast iron body has been fully stress relieved, machined, and surface ground on the sole. Weight is 4 lb. Detailed instructions included. Patented. Made in Canada. An optional 1/8\" thick A2 tool steel blade is available for those who prefer uncambered blades. A 1/8” thick A2 tool steel toothed blade is also available. Learn More

Shooting Plane, Veritas, Rt Hand The mass of this plane, combined with its long base and low center of gravity, makes it both stable and effective. At 7 3/4 lb and just under 16\" long, it is a substantial plane; you will appreciate the authority it provides when shooting. The body is fully stress-relieved, ductile cast iron, with a sole and running surface machined flat and square to one another; the 2 1/8\" wide running surface fits the classic Stanley #52 chute board. Three set screws let you compensate for slight inaccuracies in a wooden shooting board by adjusting the blade square to the workpiece. Loosening a brass locking knob allows you to adjust the mouth opening, while a stop-screw retains mouth settings and prevents contact between the blade and movable toe. You can set the adjustable rear tote at a comfortable angle for use with the sole upright or facing down. A bevel-up plane, it has a bed skewed 20° to reduce cut resistance and make a shearing cut that leaves a clean finish on end grain. Combined with the 12° bed angle and 25° blade bevel, this yields an effective cutting angle of 35°. Includes a lapped blade, made of either O1 or PM-V11 tool steel, which we find offer the best performance at low bevel angles. It uses the same 2 1/4\" wide blades as our other bevel-up planes. A Norris-style mechanism combines feed and lateral adjustments for easy, precise blade setting. Also available in a left-hand version. Made in Canada. Patented. Learn More

Circular Saw Track, KREG, Accu-Cut Start projects right by making straight, accurate, splinter-free cuts with your circular saw and the Accu-Cut circular saw guide track system. It rips, crosscuts and makes angled cuts up to 50 in. long in plywood, MDF and other large panels with super-simple setup, precise accuracy and amazing control. The Accu-Cut guides your circular saw along an aluminum track that keeps the saw moving in a straight line easily. The Accu-Cut design makes it simple to set up by just aligning the track with your cut line. No clamps are required to hold the track in place thanks to dual guide strips. They feature an anti-slip coating to prevent slipping and an anti-chip feature to prevent splintered cuts. Plus, the track makes it easy to make straight cuts on sheets that don't have a straight, flat edge. Circular saws don't have effective guides that keep them moving straight along a cut line. Plus, it can be difficult to see the blades cutting path. Together, these things make it challenging to keep a saw on your desired cut. Circular saws also often cause splintering of face veneers. The Accu-Cut solves these problems. The Accu-Cut is portable, too, so you can take your saw to the work-piece and cut with precision, rather than having to handle heavy sheets on a table saw. The Accu-Cut is easy and intuitive for a novice to use, but robust enough for professionals. Highlights Straight, accurate, splinter-free cuts made easy Rip, crosscut and make angled cuts up to 50 in. L in plywood, MDF and panels Simply align the guide track with your marks to make accurate cuts Hold track in place without clamps thanks to anti-slip guide strips Prevent splintering with anti-chip strips that support material during the cut Begin cuts easily with a starting block that the supports saw and allows normal blade guard operation Mount almost any circular saw left or right blade to the universal sled Take your saw to the material instead of having to take your material to the saw Learn More
